GALLIANI: RESISTING TEMPTATION

Adriano Galliani and Milan will do everything in their power to resist the sirens calling Thiago Silva. No stomach ache for Ibra as well as declarations on Nesta, Gattuso, Flamini, Seedorf, Tognacci, Drogba, Kolarov, Aquilani, Maxi Lopez, the Olympics….

MILAN – On the margins of the sponsorship deal between Milan and United Biscuits of the Mc Vites brand, Adriano Galliano also touched on football themes: “Thiago Silva will find the biscuits in his room. We’ll resist the many temptations that there are and which are flattering. I’ll tuck them in personally and give them their biscuits. Double for Ibra in his room. We’ll have a squad of 25-26 players and two youngsters. It was bigger last season because of the injuries. Thiago Silva? We’ll do anything and everything we can to resist. Of course there are clubs that have a lot to give. The siege is really on Thiago. It seems that they all want him. Rich clubs with rich owners. Thiago asked and received permission from us to go to the Olympics. We decided that it’s better to have a happy player not at Milanello than to have an unhappy one. I spoke about philosophy with Mancini. There are players that I like in England but I won’t name names as otherwise they’ll see them as possible signings. Drogba says he’s going to China, a fantastic player; he runs, he helps at the back, he scores. I could see from his eyes that he was going to score I the final, like Sheva in Manchester. Tevez and Balotelli? Next question…”
Other themes: “Ibra has no belly ache. He came to my house after Novara and we spoke for a couple of hours. I don’t think anything has changed. If there were any problems, I would have heard about it from his agent who I speak to every day or from him personally.”

Nesta and Gattuso? No news at the moment, but who knows?
Kolarov? We’ve made no enquiries; we already have four players on the left.
Flamini: We’ve made an offer. He’s thinking about it.
Seedorf: We haven't met yet.
Tognaccini: We’re talking and we’ll see. The relationship is good.
”If no one leaves, no one comes in. We have five strikers and they’ll all stay. At the moment, even if we’re very happy with him, we can’t sign Maxi Lopez. Neither will Aquilani be signed unless we can find some other solution. Robinho? He wants to stay and we want him. We resisted the Brazilian approaches. Pato? He has his final tests today and then he has the all clear.”
